Us Muffins are introducing a new pre-order process on our website
  1. Previously, when created a preorder if you inadvertently went ahead and loaded your payment method for the preorder - the charge would be run through the credit card process and you got billed.
  2. Placing orders with some preorder items and some items in stock was cumbersome and required manual entry here to split them out and invoice you for the in stock items.
We have re-engineered our preorder process:
  • You are requested to include your payment type at preorder - but the amount of the preorder charge is still zero - you don't pay for a preorder.
  • Your payment gets vaulted, and when the item arrives, we can add the appropriate shipping and release the order to be paid, sending you a receipt for the payment and a shipping notice.
  • In the event that your payment entered at the time of the preorder is no longer valid, we will reinvoice you for your purchase, as we do now.
  • You can now place preorders and in stock orders on the same ticket. In stock items are billed, with shipping, and will ship right away, and the preorder items will have the payment information vaulted and no payment will be processed, until the item arrives. 
  • You'll note on your order that the approximate shipping date, and date through which your payment is vaulted is set at one year from the date the order is entered. This is not the expected shipping date of the product but the window by which the payment is valid.
