Overview:
ALPINE MEADOW BLEND - 32oz Shaker Bottle. When we refer to the "high places" on a layout, keep in mind that the height is relative to what you have or, are planning to have. This higher portion of the layout does not have to meet a certain criteria to be considered Alpine height! The Alpine blend, as a base, gives you the look that you see on those mountain sides and gives the area a more realistic texture. The convenient 32oz sifter-shaker bottle allows you to control the right amount of product you wish to apply. Once complete you can begin layering from the base. Using other texture materials like WILD BUSHES and TUFTS will give you "depth" and dimension that goes hand-in-hand with mountain top scenes. Alpine Meadow blend is also a great texture for creating that walk into the edge of the forest. Use your choice of base from one of the many listed on our Website. Then by placing down a thin layer of Alpine Meadow you can create that slight scruffy look seen at the edge of the forest. Layering textures is the key when working with our Flock & Turf products.
All of our FLOCK & TURF is easy to use. You can add the finer texture as a highlight giving the scene a good mix of tones that you see in nature. A common way modelers gather the look they desire for their layout is to photograph the scene of an area they see in nature and then they match the colors using our wide variety of textures. You can mix it up a little. While our Alpine Meadow Blend is designed for open areas, you can also create some close in “bunched” up areas as well. A good match for this idea is to use our Briar Patch with its thick bushy quality. Pull it apart in small sections, lay it onto the Alpine Meadow base and you have created a unique view!
Explore the selection of different blends we offer as well as all the other texture materials available to enhance and complete your scene! We recommend you consider using the Alpine Meadow Blend as a good starting point for the pasture land on your layout. Once your base is in place, you can decide if the pasture will take on a lush look or an area which is nutrient starved.
