Us Muffins are organizing an O Gauge modular railroad group to facilitate people with limited space for a model train layout. They can build one, or more modules, then come together, connect them all up for the public to enjoy, and run some trains!
We are expecting this to be way fun, and not that serious, so your creativity on decorating your module(s) will be right on track!
We are utilizing the Lionel Collectors Club of America's FasTrack Modular Railroad Standard.
The Muffins will
complete and bring the corner modules for turning the trains around, plus the electronics to run the trains.
You bring your completed module(s), and we connect them together!
If you like, you can build your module to the Lionel Modular Layout Specification, and we can provide the locks between modules and the wiring for you to install - or - we can build a module for you, you pick it up and complete the scenery. Either way you'd like to do it.
Our first session for interested folks will be at MrMuffin's Midwest Best Train and Hobby Show on 10/25 and 10/26. Its at the Tipton County Fairgrounds #
mrmuffinsshow.com.
Planned dates for us to put the modules together and run trains here in Atlanta, Indiana are 1/25/25; 4/26/25; 8/16/25; and 10/25/25.
Other locations and dates may be arranged by the group.
The cost - annual dues for your family is $35; the planning document, wiring pieces and roto-locks come as a set for $40; a completed module ready for you to complete, scenic and detail is $90. You can pick up your modules or kits, and club shirts, at the 10/25-26 show.
