Overview:

The NS originally painted a coal hopper in this one-of-a-kind paint scheme to commemorate 50 years of coal export from the former Norfolk & Western's Lambert's Point, VA coal pier. Since the N&W absorbed, through mergers, railroads that had ore cars...why not a Lambert's Point commemorative ore car. The distinctive PIER 6 painting and lettering style has been authentically replicated on this NS ore car.
