Overview:

A standard freight car seen on many roads from the 1920s through the 1970s, thousands of AAR 2-bay hopper and its clones carried coal, ore, aggregate and more to keep America's industry running. Sometimes found as a single car or two in a mixed freight, other times in solid trains, cars of this style would be a daily sight on rails across the US. Pooling of cars between roads was also common, so feel free to mix and match on your own coal trains!
